Dr. Jennifer Crane is the founder of Cirque Physio. She is a physical therapist, athletic trainer, board certified orthopedic specialist, and a published author. She has been a sports medicine professional for eight years, and has worked with a wide variety of athletes and performing artists throughout that time. Most recently, she worked as a physiotherapist living in China with the Chinese Olympic Teams in preparation for the Rio 2016 Olympics.
In this episode I pick Jen's brains on all kinds of topics including unsafe stretching practices, our relationship with the recovery element with the process of physical adaptation, the benefits of peanuts and foam rollers, correct shoulder positioning, the role of the glutes in backbends, damage control for instructors who cant take time off from teaching and many more fascinating subjects!
